Hey everybody,
We asked this at the last meeting on Friday but since not many people were at the meeting/we had to end a bit early I thought I'd send out an email to get your thoughts. What are some things we can improve on for next year and what are your ideas for:
-communication
-student shows
-events/parties/bonding activities
-workshops
-meetings
-anything else!
Thanks a lot!
Laura
P.S. Audition Workshop is Tuesday, August 31st, 2010 at 7pm!
BLT/Druids is a 5C student theatre organisation, dedicated to supporting student theatrical endeavours. We produce shows, organise various events (including parties, receptions, a retreat, etc) and plan show trips into LA. Whether you are already up to your neck in theatrical projects, or you have never been anywhere near a theatre in your life but want to get involved, then we invite you to join us!

BLT 3/5
Here's the news from today's BLT meeting:
- upcoming BLT/Druids survey: we're looking for general feedback/satisfaction/suggestions, so look out for a survey coming your way soonish. If you have any ideas for survey questions, email Litza (ejohnson@scrippscollege.edu, or reply to this email).
- Shakespeare workshop: the lovely Caroline Schreiber will be here the last weekend in March to lead a Shakespeare workshop! Probably in the Large Studio, but more precise details will be on their way soon.
- no meeting next week: enjoy Spring Break!
- BLT ExComm elections will be happening soon! Please have some kind of mini-speechio/monologue/presentation/interpretive dance/representation by proxy ready for the meeting Friday after Spring Break. Voting will be online the week following the meeting, and results will be announced April 2nd. You don't have to, but it'd be neato if you let the current ExComm members know if you're planning on running.
- Trigorin! Go see it if you haven't already. If you're running concessions, we luff you bunches; plan to be there at 9pm for night performances, 3pm for afternoons.
- Workers for Justice: if you're interested in putting together some kind of theater event to help with the campaign, email Alvin (ajs02006@mymail.pomona.edu).
- And finally, if you're interested in writing letters about rehiring Joyce, email Laura (laura.steinroeder@scrippscollege.edu).
That's all for now... Happy Spring Breakage!

Welcome!

Welcome to the BLT/Druids blog! As you can see, this is brand new and still very much a work in progress, but we hope that soon it will be a fun and useful resource for everyone interested in theatre in Claremont. If you aren't familiar with BLT/Druids, please see the "About Me" section on your right. If you still have questions, by all means, e-mail us! We're looking forward to hearing from you.
If you are already a Druid, then this blog is also for YOU. We'll keep it updated with events, opportunities, and all sorts of general information. Of course our trusty cruise director(s) will continue to e-mail you, but this is yet another way to stay in the loop.
Over the summer we will update this blog with details about auditions, the audition workshop, and various other opportunities for getting involved in theatre at the Claremont Colleges. We look forward to your feedback!
Your trusty GM,
Litza
